The Municipality of Cesenatico and local mobility company ATR have worked in synergy with HUB Italia to make the 20-space RV park in Via dei Mille smarter and more functional, right in time for the traditional summer holiday period: the month of August. The area is equipped with a fully automated gated ingress and egress, slim Jupiter stations, a cashless pay station, and instructions on how to navigate the entire experience.

Flowbird North America announced the release of its latest advancement in parking technology at the 2022 International Parking and Mobility Institute Conference in New Orleans, Louisiana. FlowbirdGO is a dynamic off-street system giving operators the flexibility to manage parking in gated and ungated garages and lots. Visitors to Flowbird’s IPMI booth got a first-look at the system’s cloud-based functionality, easy to use hardware, and frictionless entry in action. Flowbird Group announced the promotion of two Business Development Managers, Natalie Snow and Ed Kinkade to Regional Vice President of Sales. Natalie, appointed to Vice President of Sales for the Southeast U.S., has worked in the parking industry for 17 years fulfilling customer facing roles in account management, implementation consulting, and new business development. She joined Flowbird in January 2016 after working for a leading citation management supplier for 11 years. Natalie was recognized by the National Parking Association in 2017, who named her among the ‘Top 40 Under 40,’ highlighting her stature among the industry’s best young parking professionals.

LAZ Parking recently earned status as an Accredited Parking Organization. APO is a designation for organizations that recognizes best practices in responsible parking management and operations, customer service, professional development, sustainability and access management, safety, data security and risk management, and more. “It’s quite an achievement, which follows a lengthy and arduous review process,” explained Shawn Conrad, CAE, CEO of the International Parking & Mobility Institute

Assa Abloy has acquired J Newton Enterprises Inc, a pedestrian door distributor and service company in Florida. “This acquisition delivers on our strategy to reinforce our current offering within entrance automation,” says Nico Delvaux, President and CEO of Assa Abloy. J Newton Enterprises was established in 2003 and has more than 60 employees. The company is headquartered in Inverness, Florida.

Enel X Way and HiON Distribution today announced a strategic partnership agreement to supply the fast-growing U.S. market with electric vehicle charging stations and accessories. Enel X Way is the leading global provider of smart EV charging solutions, including residential and commercial Level 2 and DC fast charging stations including residential and commercial Level 2 and DC fast charging stations. “We are thrilled to expand our partnership with the Enel X Way team,” said HiON CEO Jim Frank. 

To help reach the IKEA ambition to become a circular and climate-positive business by 2030, IKEA U.S. today announced a collaboration with Electrify America and Electrify Commercial to bring ultra-fast public charging stations and delivery fleet electric vehicle charging to over 25 IKEA retail locations throughout the U.S. This joint effort will enable IKEA U.S. to quadruple its total number of EV chargers, which supports the goal of achieving zero-emission home deliveries by 2025 and halving relative emissions from customer and co-worker travel by 2030.

EVgo Inc. announced that it has entered into a new supply agreement with Delta Electronics, a global provider of power and energy management solutions and leader in EV charging solutions. Under the agreement, Delta will supply EVgo with 1,000 fast chargers with up to 350kW power output, which supports EVgo’s recently announced project with General Motors and Pilot Company, as well as other EVgo eXtend and fleet projects and expansions to EVgo’s owned and operated charging network.

Parking on SCSU campus just got a lot easier with St. Cloud State’s new mobile app. St. Cloud State says they’re launching a new mobile payment app for people who use the pay parking lots. The app is called Flowbird and is now available on the IOS or Android app stores.

Ten projects were selected to receive recognition from the numerous entries submitted. Connected vehicle services provider Parkopedia now allows drivers to find and pay for parking from behind the wheel, at more than 3 million parking spaces, across almost 5,000 locations in 60 major cities in China, thanks to a recent partnership with ETCP. As one of the largest parking payment providers in the country, ETCP manages nearly 600 million transactions per month.

Endera, a technology company specializing in all-electric commercial vehicles, charging infrastructure and software solutions, announced the delivery of their fully electric Endera shuttles to ACE Parking for use at the Sky Harbor International Airport in Phoenix, Arizona. As part of Sky Harbor International Airport’s parking operations, these will be the first fully electric shuttles deployed as circulator shuttles at the airport.

Blink Charging Co. announced that an agreement has been signed with the City of Chula Vista, California to install 31 Blink IQ 200 fast Level 2 charging stations in various locations within the city. The five-year agreement with automatic renewals reaffirm the city’s and Blink’s commitment to providing accessible, reliable, and fast EV charging infrastructure throughout the community. Blink will own and operate the EV chargers.

ParkHub announced the acquisition of another Dallas technology company, payments integrator Fuzse. The acquisition sees ParkHub increase its commitment to innovation in payments not only through integration with its industry-leading parking management software, but as a key driver of customer insights for the company’s hundreds of customers in an array of industries and destinations. ParkHub recently named company veteran Chris Elliston to the position of Chief Revenue Officer.

PayByPhone makes the transition to cashless parking payments easy.  The app is simple to use, and parking payments can be made in three quick steps.

ZipBy announced a partnership with Joyce Parking to equip Joyce Parking off-street garages and on-street lots with ZipBy Contactless Parking technology. For on-street parking, the ZipBy parking solution will allow drivers to book and pay for parking via their cellphones, eliminating the need to use cash or touch parking equipment. Parkers can extend their parking session via the ZipBy app without having to return to the meter to top up. This saves the driver rushing back to the parking meter or risk a parking fine.
