In May 2022, Denison Parking began managing parking for Hamilton County, Indiana’s new five-story parking garage totaling 483 spaces. The parking garage will provide parking for the government center and the public after hours.

The global tech company EasyPark Group is launching the award-winning EasyPark app in Slovakia. With coverage in more than 25 countries, EasyPark now makes it even easier for drivers to travel between Slovakia and neighboring countries in Europe.


Toronto-based parking spot marketplace WhereiPark has been acquired by Spacer Technologies. Spacer’s acquisition of WhereiPark closed on April 30. The acquisition price, which consisted of a combination of cash and stock, was not disclosed. WhereiPark was founded in 2014 by Alex Enchin and Jeremy Zuker.


Enel has announced a new partnership through its Enel X Way subsidiary. The firm has selected Stable, a company that bases its operations in the analysis of electric vehicle charging usage through predictive software, to provide insights on where charging stations are needed most.

ZipBy announced a partnership with EasyPark, Canada to launch a ticketless solution through the ZipBy mobile app to all EasyPark locations in the Greater Vancouver area. The new app will allow drivers to book and pay for parking via their mobile devices.

Driving in Europe just got easier. PayByPhone has announced 470 new cities across Germany (370) and Italy (100) have been added to the company’s global parking app. PayByPhone allows drivers to pay for parking and extend parking sessions remotely via its app in many cities.


Parkopedia and Uproad have announced the integration of their platforms, automating the toll payment process for millions of drivers in the U.S. American drivers complete nearly 6 billion journeys, along the country’s nearly 9,500km of toll roads, bridges and tunnels every year, according to the International Bridge, Tunnel and Turnpike Association.


Concord Parking was recently awarded the contract to provide parking management services for Eastern Health, located in St. John’s, NL. Eastern Health is Newfoundland and Labrador’s largest healthcare authority serving the eastern side of the province.

SPACES, a mobile access and payment technology company that enables drivers to enter, exit and pay for their parking using their smartphone (without being required to download an app), just announced record revenue and customer growth for 2021 while on their mission to help commuting workers get through the pandemic. 


Parkopedia has been named as the provider of the most accurate and complete parking data in China, according to market research specialists, Frost & Sullivan. Demand for parking heavily outstrips supply in China, with just 80 million parking spaces available to accommodate more than 281 million registered vehicles. Parkopedia has updated its free iPhone parking app in Japan, helping drivers to find parking at more than 100,000 off-street locations, across 1,300 cities and towns nationwide, and also at more than 2,000 on-street locations in Tokyo. 


The City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Mobility and Infrastructure, in partnership with Automotus and the Pittsburgh Parking Authority, is excited to celebrate the implementation of the Smart Loading Zone pilot program this week. This pilot is the result of a $100,000 grant awarded to the City by Automotus.


FLASH announced the acquisition of Ticketech, the parking technology leader in New York City. The acquisition expands the network of customers running FLASH’s Mobility Hub Operating System and connects New York City’s $22 billion dollar parking market to the emerging mobility marketplace.

Sheeva.AI, a leading in-car payments and connected vehicle solutions provider, announced that it is kicking off a pilot with Millennium Parking Garages and Civic Infrastructure Collaborative. The pilot is part of the Millennium Gateway Innovation Lab, a cross-sector effort to develop tech-enabled solutions for smart infrastructure management, integrate parking more fully into urban transportation systems.

Starting in May, the City of Columbus will begin replacing parking meters with new pay-by-plate kiosks to modernize and streamline the payment process for customers. Mobile payment using the ParkColumbus app will continue to be a convenient option.

Beam Global announced the U.S. General Services Administration Office of Fleet Management awarded Beam Global a Federal Blanket Purchase Agreement for Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment and Ancillary Services. The company has also announced Q1 was also the second biggest quarter for deliveries in Beam’s history following the record fourth quarter 2021.


ParkEngage has partnered with New York City parking operator, City Parking, to provide numerous electronic reservation services at the parking facilities serving Yankee Stadium. This system will improve parking for the hundreds of thousands of visitors at Yankee Stadium each year.


The Christian Street Parking Garage, spearheading the future home of the Lancaster Public Library and 4,500 square feet of new retail space opened to the public May 16, 2022. The nine story, 359-space parking garage, located at 151 North Queen Street, will continue to fill a need in the downtown core.


SP Plus Corporation has been selected by the City of Rochester, Minnesota to provide parking management services. Under the agreement with the City, SP+ now manages more than 4,300 parking spaces located within six public parking ramp facilities and five surface lots, which includes special event management services during convention center events.

The City of Columbus will begin replacing parking meters with new pay-by-plate kiosks. The Division of Parking Services will begin meter removal on May 3 in the Brewery District, then move north through downtown Columbus, the Short North Arts District and the University District as kiosks are installed.


Parking in Cincinnati just got easier with the introduction of PayByPhone.
