Laney Solutions announced the launch of a new website and rebrand. The refreshed site offers improved functionality, new resources for both parking employers and parking professionals, and information regarding Laney Solutions’ recruitment services.


Parkster.ai, a platform that helps drivers find parking instantly through artificial intelligence, debuted its website on September 20, 2021. Parkster.ai is on a mission to help parking apps. We acknowledge a distinction between navigation apps and parking experience-based apps. 


Swiftmile has announced a partnership with Europe’s largest parking operator, APCOA, to bring e-scooter and e-bike charging to urban parking garages. In a joint event with the City of Stuttgart during its ‘Mobility Week’, Swiftmile and APCOA inaugurated charging stations at 4 APCOA parking garages throughout the city.


AppyWay has announced the appointment of ex-Dorset Council highways team leader Mike Potter as Customer Success Manager for the public sector. EV charging company JuiceBar announced the appointment of Matt Tolan as its first Chief Commercial Officer to oversee all sales and revenue operations. Tolan brings over 25 years of automotive and mobility industry experience along with a track record of accelerating growth by leading sales, marketing, and strategy transformations.


Lumeo, a designer of computer vision solutions, has added Parking Management building blocks to its “no-code” custom video analytics platform. The new building blocks enable solution providers to create analytics that help commercial parking facilities use existing camera infrastructure to maximize efficiency, utilizing real-time data powered by artificial intelligence.


Perch Mobility announced the launch of a nationwide partnership with LAZ Parking. Perch will deploy its Community Charging Portals in LAZ locations at the request of local logistics partners who charge vehicles for Bird, Lime and other operators; and fleet managers so that they can charge collected scooters in centrally located micro-mobility hubs through this partnership.


ParkEngage has partnered with AAA Parking to integrate its touchless parking technology at the new Zoo Atlanta parking facility. This collaboration will transform the parking experience for patrons of the new, more than 1000-space, Grant Park Gateway parking facility. Zoo Atlanta attracts more than 500,000 visitors each year.


Rich & Associates announced that Phase 1 of the SoMa district development has been completed with the construction of 6-story mixed-use parking structure. Rich & Associates, as consultants to lead architects Neumann/Smith Architecture, served as parking consultant and structural engineer for the 213,099 square foot parking structure.


App-Free parking industry software developer, TEZ Technology, offers innovative solutions for the parking and mobility, and hospitality industries. Making user experiences “Totally EZ” with nothing to download, TEZ innovations include SMS text-based platforms, TEXT2PARK, PERMIT2PARK, and SMS Valet.


The municipalities of Ciudad Rodrigo and Peñaranda de Bracamonte, in Salamanca, will have two smart parking areas installed by the end of the year. This is thanks to funding from the Diputación de Salamanca together with the Tax Collection and Management Agency (Regtsa). The Provincial Council, through Regtsa, put out to tender the installation of this type of solution and these are the localities that have obtained the highest score.


SpotHero announced the promotion of Nate Phillips to senior vice president of market development. Phillips joined SpotHero as vice president of enterprise sales and client development in 2016. Since that time, he has been instrumental in the success of SpotHero’s parking reservation app for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

omniQ Corp. will deploy omniQ VISION at Miami International Airport. omniQ was selected by DESIGNA Access Corporation to deploy omniQ VISION, its advanced A.I. based license plate recognition (LPR) and vehicle recognition technology. omniQ VISION is now deployed at more than 40 airports, including omni Atlanta, Dallas Fort Worth, Los Angeles International Airport and John F. Kennedy Airport in New York.


Propark Mobility announced that the company has promoted Alexander Piech to Regional Vice President of the company’s New Jersey region. “Alexander Piech is a client-focused professional, who brings a great deal of value through his acute attention
to detail and service-oriented approach to parking management,” said John Reimers.


FAAC Group appointed Luca Bovalino, CEO of HUB Parking Technology North America, as CEO of all the Parking Business Line in North America, which includes HUB Parking Technology, TIBA Parking Solutions, Signature Control Systems and Associated Time Instruments.


Beam Global announced that the City of Torrance in California has deployed the EV ARC solar-powered EV charging system to charge city transit fleet EVs. The system was purchased through the California Contract #1-18-61-16 which simplifies the procurement process and ensures best pricing.


Los Angeles World Airports today announced the successful placement of a second pedestrian bridge structure over World Way. The second of six structures to be constructed in the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) Central Terminal Area (CTA), this bridge will connect the APM Center CTA station to Terminal 2 once the train system is complete.


The University of Delaware is pleased to announce Neil Werner as the Director of Parking and Transportation Services. Neil comes to UD from Stony Brook University in New York. In addition to budget responsibilities and 75 staff members, Neil will oversee the shuttle bus system, motor pool, vehicle maintenance and medical transport under Transportation Services.

The latest data from the online parking marketplace, YourParkingSpace.co.uk, reveals that Londoners lead the electric vehicle (EV) charge, with 45 percent of the private EV spaces listed on their website based in the capital. The research, which explores what type of vehicle is being parked across its 250,000 UK-wide spaces available to pre-book online, concludes that nearly half of private EV spaces are situated in London.


Motor Parks is proud to announce five new locations in Southern California. The tech company EasyPark, which helps drivers find and manage parking and charge their electrical vehicle, is now available in Portugal. The app, with coverage throughout Europe, will be available to use for all street parking in the city of Lisbon. EasyPark has, during the last few years, expanded throughout Europe and is available in 27 countries over the world.


Research carried out by Parkopedia found that almost 90 percent of drivers in China struggle to find parking, with drivers blaming a lack of information as the main cause. There are 281 million passenger cars in the country and just 80 million public parking spaces. Parkopedia has partnered with location data provider CenNavi, a subsidiary of NavInfo, to provide static and dynamic off-street parking data, payments, as well as nearby parking recommendation services, to automakers in China.


Los Angeles’ latest mixed-use development has chosen to leverage EnSight Technologies’ car counting and parking guidance ecosystem for The Grand LA by Related. A two-level subterranean parking garage, The Grand LA will be the newest location within EnSight’s rapidly growing portfolio to leverage its machine-learning and neural network software for zone and level counting.

Fleet Advantage announced that its latest fleet industry benchmarking survey shows that 41 percent of fleet executives say the supply of new trucks and inventory challenges have altered their truck procurement plans due to lead times. Seventeen percent have begun to identify alternate procurement strategies in the acquisition of new trucks. Another 17 percent say the inventory challenges mean they may hold onto current trucks even longer than normal, which may be detrimental to their Total Cost of Ownership. The company participated in the American Trucking Association’s TMC Fall Meeting & Transportation Technology Exhibition in Cleveland in September. Fleet Advantage announced Ludmila Manin, Remarketing Sales Associate, has been named a winner in Supply & Demand Chain Executive’s 2021 Women in Supply Chain Award. 


Flowbird Group has announced the successful deployment of automated fee machines for South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks. The agency released an RFP at the end of 2020 for the procurement of Self-Service Kiosks to aid visitors in purchasing various self-service products at South Dakota State Parks and Recreation areas. Flowbird Group has expanded its services in the City of Austin by announcing the launch of a complete mobile and self-service ticketing solution for Austin Parks and Recreation Aquatic Division. The new Flowbird mobile ticketing app, ATX Swims, allows users to remotely purchase entry tickets for the Division’s public aquatic facilities.

A new report from Manhattan-based parking management software ParkOffice has revealed that almost 60 percent of employers say the impact of employee parking on the environment is a far bigger concern to them than it was 5 years ago. The ‘State of Employee Parking Report 2021’ featured research from 105 parking leaders across 15 countries and was carried out in the first week of September.

Beam Global announced that the City of Goleta in California has ordered an EV ARC™ solar-powered EV charging system to be placed at Goleta City Hall for public EV charging. The system was funded in part by grants from the Santa Barbara County Air Pollution Control District and California Governor’s Office of Emergency Services.

Gravity, an electric vehicle fleet and infrastructure start-up, today announced Manhattan’s first and only True Fast Charging site will open this fall in the heart of Manhattan, on West 42nd Street. Gravity plans to rapidly scale the model with dozens of public parking garages across the city including a portfolio of new designs that can adapt to even the most space-constrained site.
