Parkopedia announces its parking information, reservation services and integrated payment platform is now available to Toyota Motor North America covering both Toyota and Lexus vehicles in the U.S.A. Parkopedia’s parking service covers 60,000 off-street locations and more than 6,000 reservable locations in the U.S.A


The Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management, which operates eight saltwater beaches and associated parking facilities, has once again partnered with LAZ Parking to modernize, digitize, and streamline parking for more than one million annual beachgoers this year.

Endera has announced its EV partnership with Pritchard Ford. Under the partnership, Pritchard Ford will serve as a supplier of Ford Chassis and provide servicing for Endera vehicles. Pritchard Ford has also signed a contract committing to purchase 250 EV vehicles. Endera has also announced its commitment to supply SP+ with 8 fully electric shuttle buses at the San Diego International Airport to replace an older fleet.


Beam Global provided energy resiliency, emergency preparedness and transportable EV charging for military and civilian use at the 2021 Electric Mobility Symposium at the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in San Diego on June 24. Beam Global announced it was added to the Russell 2000® Index which will be reconstituted and effective after the U.S. market opens on June 28, 2021. Beam Global also announced that a utility in the State of Hawaii deployed two EV ARC™ solar-powered EV charging systems to charge utility fleet electric vehicles and an ARC Mobility™ trailer to move them around.


Flowbird Group launched the Flowbird app in the City of Akron, Ohio at the end of June. The smart mobile parking solution brings ultimate convenience to motorists, allowing users to find and pay for parking with their iPhone or Android devices. 


The City of St. Pete Beach, Florida, recently awarded as the #1 beach destination by TripAdvisor in the U.S., has partnered with Flowbird Group and upgraded Flowbird kiosks with 9” full color touch screen displays and converted from their standard black exterior to a custom blue and teal design that reflects the City’s brand and welcoming message.


WhereiPark, a technology solutions provider that empowers property owners to create new revenue sources through unused parking spaces, has acquired San Francisco-based MonkeyParking, which allows property owners to monetize unused spaces by making them available through its app.

This includes their first-, second- and third-generation products that have been driven across a wide variety of end-use applications. SPI Energy Ltd. announced its wholly owned Phoenix Motorcars subsidiary appointed Ira Feintuch, the former COO of Blink Charging Co. (previously known as CarCharging Group), as its new SVP & Global Head of EV Charging Solutions.

Customers of the 1200 Poydras Street Garage in downtown New Orleans, managed by Poydras Parking Company, will now be able to quickly and easily pay for parking on their phone using T2 MobilePay. The mobile payment platform, from parking technology leader T2 Systems, will be available in all of the garage’s 382 spaces.

Cherry Creek Shopping Center’s Express Park program, powered by ADVAM’s ParkCharge, enables shoppers to create an online parking account that integrates with the on-site parking access control system.


Despite major government policy and auto industry developments aimed at helping more U.S. drivers switch to electric vehicles (EVs), most EV drivers (78 percent) say they don’t have enough options for charging their cars at work. Only 22 percent of EV drivers say there are always enough charging stations where they work, according to a report from market research firm Ipsos and EVBox Group.
