Access Professional Systems has signed a master service agreement with the City of Phoenix, Arizona to maintain and service all TIBA access and revenue control equipment installed in the city’s convention center parking garages. The municipal garages covered by the contract are managed by the Phoenix Convention Center.

In April, APC began Concierge service for The Shores in Long Branch, NJ. The residence is comprised of 132 units with beach access. The APC Concierge is present 24/7, assisting guests and residents alike.

When Parker’s CSRs encounter a guest in the lane unable to speak English, they can toggle to one of 10 different languages.

WGI, Inc. announced that David Taxman, PE has been named Mobility Market Leader for the firm. In his new role, Taxman will oversee transportation and parking projects across the United States for WGI clients, including municipalities, universities, hospitals, and the private sector. 


Mosman Council has introduced the award-winning CellOPark parking payment app to its suite of cloud-based, contactless and paperless parking solutions for residents. CellOPark, from
Australian technology company Smarter City Solutions, will work in conjunction with the current parking payment methods.


VinFast Trading and Production LLC has selected NVIDIA DRIVE Orin for its new generation of autonomous electric vehicles designed to deliver a superior driving experience to customers. VinFast recently announced it is developing and preparing to start mass production of smart electric cars in all segments.


Beam Global announced that a leading Georgia utility has deployed two EV ARC™ sustainable EV charging systems for public use. The units are located in high traffic areas accessible to the public, with one unit in metropolitan Atlanta and the other in rural Georgia. Beam Global announced that the City of San Diego has deployed two EV ARC™ solar-powered charging systems.

Metropolis announced a long-term, national partnership with Nashville-based Premier Parking. Metropolis’ proprietary computer vision technology and mobile platform will be deployed across Premier’s portfolio, which consists of more than 100,000 parking spaces across 500 locations in 40 cities, by the end of the year. 


The City of Worcester, Massachusetts has announced its partnership with Flowbird Group and Wescor Parking Controls to implement a pay-by-plate parking system aimed at bringing customer ease and a user-friendly experience to drivers. Flowbird and HKT, a Hong Kong telecommunications service provider, have combined their forces to implement a digital transformation strategy with a HK$680 million contract awarded by the Transport Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government.

Energy Co., Ltd. announced its wholly owned Phoenix Motorcars subsidiary delivered their second electric service truck to the City of Woodland, California. These trucks are the first All-Electric Medium Duty Commercial Service Trucks of their kind to be built and used in the industry. The first vehicle was delivered earlier this year.


Atlas Technical Consultants, Inc. announced that it was awarded a $2 million contract to provide engineering services for the Texas Department of Transportation El Paso District. The newly awarded contract will remain in effect for a term of five years. “The Atlas team was one of two contracts awarded, and we are grateful for the longstanding partnership we have built with TxDOT,” said Atlas CEO L. Joe Boyer.

The City of Durham will assist downtown businesses with attracting customers back to downtown, the City’s Transportation Department is providing free daytime parking in all City-owned parking garages from Monday, May 3 through Friday, May 7.

A plan to boost the price of parking in downtown Barre, Vermont is suddenly moving again after having been stalled for well over a year. Though only three of them were serving when the 16.67 percent rate increase was narrowly approved in November 2019, city councilors unanimously agreed to invest $12,000 to get it back on track during a recent meeting.


Irwin, Pennsylvania’s old parking meters just aren’t cutting it anymore. The old meters have actually been costing the borough money instead of making it. “We decided to upgrade these ones to the digital, to the current century. We got an audit from the Department of Weights and Measures and ours were giving away time,” says Irwin borough manager Shari Martino.

Folkestone & Hythe District Council has awarded NSL, a Marston Holdings company, a three-year contract extension for the provision of parking enforcement and debt recovery services. Under this contract, which was originally awarded in 2017, NSL will continue to provide enforcement of on and off-street parking regulations, including the management of coastal car parks, special events and ongoing liaison with the police.


LAZ Parking has announced a new electric vehicle charging program. The initiative will bring 500 new Tesla Connectors to LAZ Parking locations nationwide. Company officials said that Tesla vehicles account for more than 85 percent of electric cars in use across the United States.
