Fleet Advantage announced a new Sale-Leaseback program designed to infuse cash and flexibility into transportation fleets during the current COVID-19 pandemic. In the program, a company can select the assets from their fleet that are older models and Fleet Advantage will purchase those assets and lease them back to the fleet until they can then transition to new equipment when ready.


In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, CurbTrac has launched the Clean Driver Program in partnership with ParkMobile, ParkOps, and Ballparc. The Clean Driver Program provides turn-key solutions for Transportation Network Companies (TNC), taxi companies, food delivery service providers, and corporate fleets to keep drivers and customers safe during the COVID-19 pandemic through PPE distribution sites and automotive sanitation services. 


netPark announced the launch of their latest contactless parking system to help mitigate the spread of COVID-19. The new system works for all types of parking operations by utilizing License Plate Recognition (LPR) or a QR code from a smart phone to facilitate the entry and exit from a parking facility. This allows customers to enter and exit without coming into contact with any possibly contaminated surface.


Parker Technology announced a new dealer partnership with Associated Time Instruments, out of Dallas, TX. The relationship will involve collaborative sales and marketing efforts. “We are thrilled to partner with Parker Technology. The addition of their two-way video communication will truly enhance the customer experience for our end users,” says Christopher Archer, President of Associated Time Instruments.


Kevin Uhlenhaker, Co-Founder & CEO of NuPark has joined the Automotus Board of Advisors. Kevin has been a leader in the parking & mobility industry for nearly 20 years. Automotus, a mobility-focused video analytics company, helps cities tackle their increasingly complex curbside demand. Kevin joins Donald Shoup, Glenn Derry, and John Zimmerman on the Automotus advisory board.

Fybr has been selected by the City of Westerville, Ohio as their technology partner for a Smart Parking Pilot. The City is testing Smart Parking Space Availability Technology in the popular Uptown District. City Manager David Collinsworth said, “If this is successful, we will extend it out to the bounds of parking lots in Uptown and then also our on-street parking.”

ECO Parking Technologies President, Jeff Pinyot announced that they have been successfully working with California State University, Sacramento to provide their student body with the locations of safe and secure parking spaces that are best for receiving the campus WiFi signal. The new Parking Structure V receives the strongest WiFi signal on campus and the universities Information Resources & Technology Service Desk has implemented “Drive-In WiFi” for specific spaces within that parking structure.  


Allina Health and Children’s MN has selected TIBA Parking Systems as their parking technology partner for at Abbott Northwestern Hospital and Phillips Eye Institute in Minneapolis, United Hospital in St. Paul, and the Children’s MN St. Paul and Minneapolis campuses. Through this partnership, TIBA will create and install a comprehensive parking technology suite to manage multiple Parking Ramps and Surface Lots with a total of 82 lanes and 9,649 spaces.

Park Assist has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for the Garage Mahal facility at Circa Resort & Casino. The new hotel and casino, currently under construction, is located on the famous Fremont Street Experience in downtown Las Vegas. Park Assist has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport. Just 10 minutes from downtown, the International Airport supports over 4 million travelers per year with a high-volume of both passenger and cargo traffic.

Wireless Advanced Vehicle Electrification announced it has transformed the industry through its initiative to modernize operations by bringing its wireless charging system to Josephine Community Transit’s (Josephine) maintenance depot. This system will wirelessly charge two remanufactured Zero Emission Propulsion System (ZEPS) buses from Complete Coach Works, with an additional two vehicles being added later this year.


Flowbird has launched the Park & Charge innovation that offers a cost-effective route for councils to develop on-and off-street EV charging capability by combining advanced charging hardware with existing parking terminal, app, and account-based payment systems. With Park & Charge, both EV charging and parking services can be managed through a common centralized platform. Jacksonville Beach has announced a new way to ease parking congestion for its residents and visitors! Beginning the first week of June, drivers will now have the option to pay for parking using the Flowbird App, bringing ultimate convenience to motorists.


Following a thorough evaluation and review of alerting systems, The APA has implemented CodeRED, a high-speed emergency mass notification service provided by Ormond Beach, FL-based OnSolve, LLC. The CodeRED system will serve as the backbone of the APA’s emergency planning and communications outreach to both citizens and staff. 


The government has published the Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (England) General (Amendment) Regulations 2020. This amendment, which comes into force on 22nd June 2020, allows mandatory cycle lanes to be enforced by an approved device. This means that where roads are changed to restrict access to cycle or bus/cycle use only, councils can deploy CCTV cameras to enforce the new regime.


Beachgoers and residents of Panama City Beach can park and pay on the go through the Passport Parking mobile app. The digital application is powered by Passport, the operating system that enables over 1,000 cities and universities to manage vehicle interactions on streets and sidewalks. Drivers in Norristown can pay to park from their smartphones with the mobile payment application for parking powered by Passport.


Conduent Transportation announced a collaboration with Arizona’s court system and PayNearMe to provide citizens an easy and convenient way to pay off parking tickets and other fines using cash at participating stores like 7-Eleven and Family Dollar. This close-to-home option can help ticket-holders save money on transportation costs while adhering to social distancing practices to prevent the spread of COVID-19.


The City of Newport, RI has expanded their use of Hectronic NA, a Mobile Smart City Company Citea Color Touch Parking Kiosk for their Easton Beach Facility. This expansion provides the Beach Facility the flexibility to serve and support their beach goers with a quicker way to pay, eliminating the time it takes to enter the lots. 


After a very successful installation at their primary Airport Parking Facility, Portsmouth International Airport at Pease has made the decision to upgrade their overflow parking lot using Hectronic’s Access Control Solution now powered by Pango Mobile Payment and ALPR solution. The
City of Hamilton has made the decision to upgrade 2 additional car parks using Mobile Smart City Hectronic’s Access Control Solution, bringing the total to 7 car parks under Mobile Smart City Hectronic’s Access Management System.

Park Assist has been awarded the Parking Guidance System contract for Nashville’s Music City Center. This 2.1 million-square-foot convention complex opened in 2013 in the heart of downtown Nashville. The facility was primarily built to host large city-wide conventions.

With expertise in digitization and mobility, Hugo holds a strong track record of leading tech-enabled change at a global scale. Get My Parking has announced the launch of a partnership in the U.S. Get My Parking’s latest expansion move is supported by its partnership with ParkTrans, an American smart city solution provider that brings the latest technology to its American clients. Joe’s Auto Parks announced their renewed contract with LA Metro in support of the region’s public transportation expansion plan. This continued partnership builds upon the success of their initial program to offer accessible parking at popular LA Metro rail line stops. “We are pleased to be able to stay on for the next evolution of LA Metro’s continued growth in multiple markets,” said Kevin Litwin, Chief Operating Officer of Joe’s Auto Parks.


ParkMobile has partnered with the Borough of Belmar, New Jersey, to allow residents and visitors to pay for parking through their mobile devices. The ParkMobile app will be available at approximately 400 spaces along the town’s beachfront area. ParkMobile has announced a new partnership with three parking authorities in Pennsylvania Allentown, Bethlehem, and Reading — to provide contactless parking payments in the area. ParkMobile announced a new partnership with the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) in Washington, D.C. to promote contactless parking payments to reduce the number of people touching the meters. The City of Colorado Springs Parking Enterprise and ParkMobile have announced a new partnership to provide contactless payments via mobile app at approximately 2,400 metered parking spaces throughout the City of Colorado Springs. The City of Milwaukee has also announced a partnership with ParkMobile to promote contactless parking payments. The recently updated MKE Park app, powered by ParkMobile, helps protect the safety of both the people paying for parking and the City’s workforce by reducing physical interactions with parking meters.
