Smarking announced the release of the parking industry’s first algorithmic and fully-automatic dynamic pricing engine. The product, known as AYM (read as “aim”; Automatic Yield Management), utilizes Smarking’s baseline business intelligence product to capture historic, real-time, and forecasted demand, and calculates the ever-changing demand curves for a parking location in order to set parking rates.

This will be the fourth installation of an INDECT parking guidance system at HEB stores. INDECT USA also announces the successful installation of their ultrasonic parking guidance system at Des Moines International Airport, Iowa, with their local partner The Baker Group.

CityLift Parking has completed its Series C capital round with Dundon Capital Partners LLC. The investment is the largest completed for any U.S. automated parking lift company in the market today. CityLift plans to use funds to accelerate its growth and invest in technology innovation. John Zutter, Jason Kulas and Jeff Vanderbilt from DCP will be joining CityLift’s Board.

Complete Coach Works announced that it recently acquired UL 508A certification from Underwriters Laboratories LLC for its industrial control panels that supply power to charge electric vehicles. “UL tests to the most rigorous standards. Our company is thrilled to have exceeded those requirements,” said Chuck Barnes, Vice President of Complete Coach Works. Complete Coach Works also announced it was awarded a contract from Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority to supply four refurbished 35-ft Gillig diesel buses.
Pacific Cascade Corporation and Midwest Parking & Facility Products have had a long-term collaborative and business relationship since MWP opened. Steve Vincelli established MWP in 1991. A new residential and commercial building is currently being built on Oakland Avenue in Jersey City – and it will have a fully-automated car parking system with 181 parking spaces. The system with the stolzer brand name is designed and manufactured by Stopa Anlagenbau GmbH. This is a resounding success for Stopa and its American cooperation partner Automotion.

ParkVia, has secured a new contract with its longest-standing airline partner, Wizz Air, one of Europe’s fastest growing airlines and the largest low-cost carrier in Central and Eastern Europe, following the successful launch of its latest project. ParkVia is now integrated with the Hungarian low-cost carrier to provide in-path booking flow technology. ParkVia, has renewed its contract with Italian high-speed rail network, Italo, for a third consecutive year following consistent booking figures.
The Lancaster Parking Authority hosted a public demolition ceremony in Ewell Plaza, 151 N. Queen St., Lancaster. The ceremony was the symbolic end to the last standing section of the concrete structure at the former Lancaster Square location. The old annex will be demolished for the new Christian Street Garage, Lancaster Public Library and retail space, said Larry J. Cohen, executive director of the Lancaster Parking Authority.

The Town of Andover announces the launch of an end-to-end parking solution with Passport. The system includes the Passport Parking app which allows drivers to pay for parking through their smartphones, a real-time enforcement platform, and a digital permit service for residents of Andover. The Village of Arlington Heights, Ill. will launch a mobile app for parking payments through Passport Parking. The app can be used to pay for parking for more than 900 daily fee parking spaces in the downtown area instead of using cash at traditional pay boxes located in each parking lot and garage.

Simek, who joined Toledo Ticket in 2013 as Business Development Manager, has over 30 years of experience in printing and sales. PayByPhone announced that Stephen Lazenby has been named Chief Product Officer. An experienced software product and development leader, Lazenby joins PayByPhone from Global Relay Communications, where he was Global Head of Product. In his new position, Lazenby will lead PayByPhone’s global product development team.
