SKIDATA’s latest airport PARCS installation has recently been completed at Jackson Hole Airport in Jackson Hole, Wyoming located within Grand Teton National Park. This improvement not only creates a more secure parking facility for airport travelers, but was also designed to be more convenient as well. 

Greenville, South Carolina selected TIBA Parking Systems to launch customer service centric operations in 11 city-owned garages and one surface lot, totaling at 60 entry and exit lanes. “After months of research, the City of Greenville, SC has selected TIBA as the provider of PARCS equipment for all 11 of its city managed garages,” said Bill Foster, Greenville General Manager of Parking Services.

Wireless Advanced Vehicle Electrification announced that it will provide additional wireless inductive charging systems to Antelope Valley Transit Authority, as they transition to a 100 percent electric vehicle fleet. The economy’s shift toward sustainability has influenced AVTA’s decision to choose battery electric bus transportation.

Conduent Transportation will help public transit agencies in Southern California operate their fleets and provide quality, on-time service for passengers. The company will upgrade hardware and software for the management system on hundreds of buses for the San Diego Metropolitan Transit System and North County Transit District, as well as key portions of Orange County Transportation Authority system.

Tulsa International Airport is pleased to announce that LAZ Parking will oversee parking operations at the airport. Under the terms of the contract, the Hartford, CT-based company will operate the airport’s Self-Park, Valet Parking, Shuttle Operations and Employee Parking, as well as its Taxi Queuing and Dispatch system.

Madison, Wisconsin has awarded HUB Parking Technology, Judge Doyle Garage. The Judge Doyle project is a new and exciting two-block area development in downtown Madison. HUB will be installing the PARC system at the 560-stall parking facility. This garage has seven lanes of predominantly automated barcode equipment, four recycling cash and credit pay stations, and proximity readers for contract parkers.

Inc. magazine revealed that CityLift Parking is No. 66 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, a ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the independent small businesses. Microsoft, Dell, Domino’s Pizza and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000. 

Auburn University recently implemented the AIMS Parking Management System to support their Parking Services department. Auburn uses AIMS to manage the online sales of their various permits and all other aspects of their permit management. AIMS provides real-time integration with their 2 mobile LPR vehicles to support their virtual permits and eCitation enforcement. 

IBA Parking, in conjunction with Parking Inc., installed access and revenue control equipment at Waterloo Regional Airport, and after one year of operation, the airport has seen a net increase of 41 percent in revenue. TIBA Parking and Parking Inc. were awarded the contract to reconfigure the parking facility by replacing existing equipment including ticket dispensers and pay in lane devices. 

Eberle Design, Inc. announced the appointment of Andy Dowie to the position of Engineering Director. Dowie will lead the EDI Engineering team. “We are very fortunate to have Mr. Dowie on our team,” said Dr. Bill Sowell. “Mr. Dowie will take on responsibility to deliver engineering programs on time and within budget at Eberle Design, Phoenix utilizing the well-established EDI engineering team.

CivicSmart, Inc., is proud to announce that Columbus, Ohio has selected CivicSmart as a finalist to install its patented Vehicle Detection Sensors for a three-month trial starting in October 2019. Following a competitive evaluation, CivicSmart was selected to install 100 of its subterranean Vehicle Detection Sensors in the Short North Arts District along High Street.

FlashParking announces the appointment of Alan Poulton as their new Executive Vice President of Sales. Poulton will lead FlashParking’s sales organization as the company continues to grow revenues in excess of 100 percent annually. Poulton will continue to expand the sales team and expand channels for FlashParking’s cloud-based mobility infrastructure platform. 

Barnacle Parking Enforcement has integrated their Enterprise Management System with the IPS Group Enforcement Management Solution. The new integration will support a rapidly expanding number of mutual clients across the globe. With the integration complete, Barnacle can automatically query license plates for delinquent citations and then mark them paid.

Transit riders in Detroit can use the new Dart mobile app, created by Passport, to pay for transit passes. Dart is the unified payment system that enables customers to buy transit passes that can be used on Detroit Department of Transportation and Suburban Mobility Authority for Regional Transportation fixed route buses and the QLINE streetcar. “Today is a big step towards making it easier to ride transit in the Detroit region,” said Mayor Mike Duggan. 

The City of Treasure Island, FL, has voted to add 42 metered parking spaces to the island’s busy beach-front lots. City commissioners unanimously voted to expand their contract with Flowbird group, the world’s leader in curbside management and urban mobility solutions, to manage these spaces using the CWT Color Touch kiosks.

United States District Judge, Honorable Roger T. Benitez, issued an order this week ruling in Park Assist’s favor by denying San Diego County Regional Airport Authority’s motion to dismiss Park Assist’s patent infringement action against the Airport. The Order stems from Park Assist’s suit against the Airport and Ace Parking Management, Inc. for infringement of Park Assist’s U.S. Patent 9,594,956.

SpotHero and The Parking Spot announced a preferred partnership to simplify airport parking and reduce travel stress at 23 airports nationwide. Airport travelers can now find, book and access parking at 35 of The Parking Spot’s 39 locations using the SpotHero mobile app.

FlexePark has been selected as a finalist for the 2019 Leading Cities AcceliCITY program. In 2018, Leading Cities, a global nonprofit for Smart City growth and collaboration, launched AcceliCITY—a global Smart City startup competition that provides potential capital, tools and knowledge of how to do business with cities. FlexePark was selected as one of 14 finalists from more than 500 applications and 43 countries.

Complete Coach Works announces it has begun delivery of buses to Montebello Bus Lines. The contract calls for the installation of CCW’s refined HVAC system into 35 Montebello Transit New Flyer buses. CCW also announces a new contract with Petaluma Transit, located in Petaluma, California, for the complete rehabilitation of one of their New Flyer buses. The company has begun its deliveries of rehabilitated buses to Winston-Salem Transit Authority. The buses have undergone system overhauls at CCW’s newly established Memphis, Tennessee location. 

People and vehicle access control specialist Nortech offers a number of products within the Nedap product range that use vehicle tagging to identify individual vehicles while they are moving through a monitoring point. This includes the uPASS Reach reader, which offers long-range vehicle identification up to 5 meters using the latest UHF technology. It also offers Nedap’s ANPR Lumo, a license plate camera for vehicle access control.

Today, Inc. magazine released its annual list of the fastest-growing private companies and Passport ranks at #832. This is Passport’s second consecutive year on the list, which ranks privately-held companies based on percentage revenue growth over a three-year period. From 2015 to 2018, Passport grew its revenue 511 percent and has doubled its client count and hired more than 100 new employees in the past 12 months. Each year, The Software Report releases a list of the top 50 CEOs who are leading some of the most successful software as a service (SaaS) companies. Passport’s CEO Bob Youakim was recognized for his leadership and secured a place on the 2019 list. 

The City of Helena, Montana has launched a new way to pay for parking with the Passport Parking mobile app. The app can be used for more than 2,000 on-street and off-street spaces in Helena. The University of Arizona is also adopting the Passport Parking mobile app to enable drivers to pay for on-campus parking. The City of Long Beach announces that Passport Parking can now be used for more than 700 on-street parking spaces downtown. Users can download Passport Parking for Android or iOS and start a parking session in the app. Through the app, users can also access receipts and parking history.
