The City of Paso Robles, California has partnered with Flowbird Group to launch a comprehensive plate-based parking system in the downtown business district. “This new paid parking system has been customized for the City of Paso Robles and utilizes our powerful parking rights management system,” said Benoit Reliquet, President of Flowbird North America. The City of Rahway, NJ has partnered with Flowbird Group to launch a new pay-by-plate parking system to manage and support its long-term economic vitality. The city will be installing 29 Flowbird Strada parking kiosks in the downtown core. And the City of Sarasota has once again partnered with Flowbird Group to expand the new paid parking system after a successful launch earlier this year. Forty-three (43) CWT Color Touch multi-space kiosks have begun installation along two of the busiest streets in Downtown Sarasota.


Barnacle® Parking Enforcement has integrated its Enterprise Management System with AIMS’ Parking Management Software to create a seamless enforcement solution. The new integration will support mutual customers at UC Davis Medical Center, City of Las Vegas and Auburn University. With the integration complete, Barnacle can automatically query license plates for delinquent citations and then mark them paid following release.


SMG has chosen ParkHub as the company’s Preferred Vendor for parking technology. The multiyear agreement will facilitate the adoption of ParkHub’s innovative solutions at SMG-managed venues across the United States.


The Carolina Panthers are making it easier for their fans to get to the stadium on gameday. Through a partnership with ParkWhiz, an Arrive brand, fans can now find, book and pay for parking in advance of gameday, helping fans get to their seats on time while alleviating traffic and congestion around the venue. Panthers Vice President & Chief Operating Officer Mark Hart said, “We strive to make gameday an incredible experience for our fans, from the time they leave their front door to the time they return, and ParkWhiz will help us do that.”


Parker Technology’s sales team has grown by three this month, with the addition of two industry veterans – Bryan Blackwell and Jim Leida, both new Sales VPs, and new to the industry – Robyn Rider, Parker’s new Sales Development Representative. Parker Technology has been selected as a finalist for the 2019 Indiana Breakout Tech Culture Awards. Complete Coach Works (CCW) announced a new training initiative as part of its ongoing program to further educate its employees on state-of-the-art electric transit vehicles and charging infrastructure. CCW is also pleased to announce its contract to provide two remanufactured Zero Emission Propulsion System (ZEPS) buses for Josephine Community Transit in Grants Pass, Oregon. Each ZEPS vehicle will include a state-of-the-art, all-electric drive system with 373 kWh battery pack, a battery management system, and inverters. CCW) says it will showcase a fully electric bus, built for TransIT Services of Frederick County, on Capitol Hill in honor of the Bus Coalition’s event – “This is Not Your Parents Bus”. The CPC202 and CPC204 Shared Occupancy Controllers from access controls specialists Nortech are compact, standalone, intelligent units that control access for groups of users sharing the same parking facility. A single CPC204 Shared Occupancy Controller can provide full access control to a parking facility that is shared by up to four independent user groups. As well as validating user credentials, it will monitor usage and prevent each user group from exceeding its allocated number of parking spaces and will work almost any barrier/gate system.


Tessitura Network and Arrive are partnering to provide easier and more convenient parking before arts and cultural events. Cleverciti Systems announces that Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s Ruhr Park shopping center, Germany’s largest open-air, shopping center, has deployed Cleverciti’s advanced smart parking solution to monitor more than 2,600 outdoor spaces. Cleverciti’s artificial intelligence (AI) sensors immediately guide visitors to any available area, eliminating unnecessary driving and wasted time when searching for a parking space. The company has also announced the addition of Joe Survance as Senior Vice President of Sales, North America. “Joe has extensive experience building and expanding medium- and large-scale parking projects and has consistently delivered margin and market share growth in complex organizations,” said Thomas Hohenacker, CEO.


iParq introduces a new integration with Inugo, a self-service app. This integration became available for clients across the United States and Canada in June 2019. Parking Enforcement Officers (PEOs) have a fast and easy way to display if payment has been made via Inugo’s mobile app — directly on iParq handhelds. iParq Director of Sales and Marketing Madison Huemmer said “The Inugo integration connects another piece of the parking puzzle. We are pleased to add them to our quickly expanding list of partners.” iParq also introduces a new integration with Spothero. This integration allows Parking Enforcement Officers (PEO’s) a simple, quick way to display if payment has been made via Spothero’s mobile app on iParq handhelds – making the decision to cite clear. iParq Senior Operations Manager Jason Atkinson, said “Spothero is great addition to our group of technology forward partners. This integration will make enforcing on pay-by-cell simple.”

Tindall Corporation’s Texas Division produced the precast concrete parking garage for Frost Tower, San Antonio’s newest downtown tower construction since 1989.The structure, located at 111 W. Houston Street, is now open and provides 998 new parking spaces in the heart of downtown. “Tindall has been a fantastic partner on the Frost Tower project,” said Alex Skotnicki, project executive at Clark Construction Group, LLC. “From design to erection, Tindall proactively developed solutions to our challenges and collaborated to execute the work as a team.”


SpotAngels is now available in San Leandro to help drivers find parking spaces and rates. SpotAngels worked with the City to offer this service at no cost, utilizing the San Leandro’s open data portal, GeoSL. The goal of SpotAngels is to ease the parking obstacles for both residents and visitors looking to enjoy the city. Over the past year, the app saved drivers in cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, Seattle and more over $10 million in parking tickets as well as time and money finding parking.

EnSight Technologies announced today that the company’s parking guidance technology has been selected to help patrons of the hotel’s new underground parking structure find parking quickly and conveniently. 


AppyParking announced that the company has just closed a £7.6 million Series A round. The funding round includes new strategic investment from Hyundai Motor Corporation and Sumitomo Corporation. It was led by West Hill Capital, the London based venture capital firm, with participation from existing investors Aviva Ventures and Breed Reply. The investment brings AppyParking’s total funding since launch to over £11 million.


Conduent Transportation has appointed Nathan Donnell to the sales team for its parking and curbside management business. Donnell will develop new business opportunities in the western U.S., as well as in Canada. He will also help Conduent strategically expand into new market segments and geographies. “Nathan brings tremendous industry knowledge and domain expertise to our team,” said Brett Peze, General Manager, Curbside Management, Conduent Transportation.


Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti joined Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA) leadership and elected officials for a ceremonial groundbreaking for the Intermodal Transportation Facility – West (ITF-West), a key component of Los Angeles International Airport’s (LAX) Landside Access Modernization Program (LAMP). Located between Westchester Parkway and 96th Street, the ITF-West, a parking structure and mobility hub, will be the first component of LAX’s modernization projects to be completed, opening in 2021. 


Spin announced that it has joined Passport’s micro-mobility pilot program to test a scooter parking model for Spin’s electric scooter fleets in Charlotte, Detroit, and Omaha. Spin, the Ford-owned dockless electric scooter company, is the latest to join the pilot following Lime who signed on in March of this year. Beaudry Kock, Head of Policy Initiatives at Spin says, “As an operator, we have always supported commonsense fleet caps, and believe that the number of scooters on the streets should be proportional to actual usage.
