ParkCloud Announces Rebrand as 3.5m Customers Choose ParkVia


Award-winning parking reservation provider, ParkCloud, has today announced that it has completed a rebrand under its existing popular B2C brand, ParkVia.


With a strong international brand presence, ParkVia is the European leader in airport parking reservations, having grown in popularity over the last 10 years with consumers searching for fast, simple and reliable parking solutions.


Following extensive testing on its global customer base, the ParkCloud brand will be streamlined into ParkVia from today to create one fluid brand identity, reflecting its 3.5m registered users’ preferred method of booking.


Prior to the decision to consolidate, ParkCloud and ParkVia operated in tandem, with ParkVia, while ParkCloud established itself as a commercial figurehead within the B2B industry. Mark Pegler, Managing Director of ParkVia, said:

DESIGNA Appoints Steve Gorski as CEO of its U.S. Operations 


DESIGNA Access Corporation, a provider of sophisticated software-controlled car park management systems, has announced the appointment of Steve Gorski as CEO of its U.S. operations, DESIGNA USA. In this role, Steve will focus on driving the next chapter of DESIGNA’s market expansion through leadership of the sales organization and execution of the company’s growth strategy. 


Steve Gorski is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in sales, marketing and executive management within the IT, IoT, security and parking markets. He brings strong industry knowledge and cross-functional management experience to the DESIGNA team. 


Over the course of his career, Steve served in top executive roles with global companies, including TKH Security Solutions, MOBOTIX, Wesco and Axis Communications. Most recently, he was General Manager of the U.S operations for Cleverciti Systems, where he led strategic sales and marketing efforts in the dynamic American market. 


As leader of the U.S. business segment for DESIGNA, Steve Gorski will build on the momentum of regional sales and channel teams, and direct growth strategies in key vertical segments. DESIGNA is positioned to capitalize on Steve’s expertise and is well positioned for growth. The company aims to increase distribution channels to provide customers with a targeted, purpose-built parking solution.

Passport acquires Complus Data Innovations 


Passport announces its acquisition of parking enforcement company, Complus Data Innovations (Complus). Together with Complus, Passport helps nearly 1,000 clients manage more than 15 million feet of curbside space – the distance from Los Angeles to New York City – through its industry-leading technology to regulate access to and collect digital payments for public parking, transit, and tolling systems. This acquisition extends Passport’s position as the leading public-sector mobility management platform.

PARKEN 2019 presented entire Parking Industry Spectrum 


The PARKEN 2019 proved to be a significant platform for the parking industry. From 5 – 6 June 2019, the event showcased a broad product portfolio at the trade exhibition, as well as presenting the latest expert knowledge at the conference of the Bundesverband PARKEN e.V. (German Parking Association).


“In 2019, the PARKEN proved that the event is the meeting place for the industry in Germany,” concludes Simone Pfisterer, Vice President atMesago Messe Frankfurt GmbH. “1,602 trade visitors, 10.8% more than in 2017, took the opportunity to exchange information on the entire range of products and solutions for stationary traffic: from classic parking space equipment to Smart Mobility and cashless payment systems to charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.”


A total of 112 exhibiting companies highlighted the latest trends, developments and innovations in the planning, construction and operation of stationary traffic facilities and can look back on a successful event.


“The PARKEN enables us and our customers to attain a detailed overview of the market. It is also the starting point for meeting with existing contacts and finding new ones. In principle, this exhibition is obligatory for everyone in the parking industry. The PARKEN is the only relevant event for the German market,” summarizes Riccardo Rieder, Director Product Management at Designa.
