Flowbird Transport Intelligence, a division of Flowbird Group, has announced that its new mobile ticketing app, ‘Loop Trolley,’ is now live for trolley riders in St. Louis, Missouri. The free app, now available on the Apple iOS, allows riders to purchase trolley tickets remotely at any time and activate them when they are ready to ride. With the addition of Flowbird’s ‘Loop Trolley’ app, riders may now purchase trolley tickets in advance, track their ticket history and trip log, and even view station stops and attractions along the route.


TIBA Parking, in conjunction with Associated Time and Winpark, recently performed a transition of 15 lanes of revenue control equipment at Memorial Hermann Health System in less than 72 hours. Teams from Associated Time and TIBA Parking worked around the clock to reconfigure the lot lane by lane, tearing down old equipment, seven cashier booths, and activating TIBA’s pay on foot machines, and entry, exit, and access only lane equipment. The installation began at 7 pm on a Friday and all lanes were operational with gates down by 7 am the following Monday. 


TravelCar and Mozio have teamed up to offer Mozio travelers an additional option to get to the airport. Starting today, Mozio users can now search, compare and book airport parking in more than 60 countries thanks to the addition of TravelCar’s global airport parking solution. TravelCar prides itself on aggregating the most parking options for travelers, allowing them to choose from and with offers all over the world. 


CivicSmart, Inc. presented their latest smart parking technologies in Washington DC as part of the Parking Services Industry Day. Parking Services Industry Day took place in early April at the R.I.S.E. Demonstration Center in Washington DC. CivicSmart’s President & CEO, Mike Nickolaus, and Founder & CTO Balu Subramanya, were present to show parking solutions include CivicSmart’s patented vehicle detection sensors, electronic permits, smart parking meters, and enforcement software. 


MeterFeeder has teamed up with Academy PGH to host an open house for the Braddock community to gauge interest for a Web Developer Boot Camp to be hosted in town. Academy PGH is a Web Developer Boot Camp that offers anyone the ability to “learn to code” in as little as 12 weeks. The service is offered a couple times a year around the Pittsburgh area, and leadership of the program is hoping to expand the service to Braddock, PA soon too.

ParkCloud has announced that it has completed a rebrand under its existing B2C brand, ParkVia. With a strong international brand presence, ParkVia is the European leader in airport parking reservations, having grown in popularity over the last 10 years with consumers searching for fast, simple and reliable parking solutions. The City of Troy, New York, has partnered with Flowbird Group to launch a new pay-by-plate parking system throughout the waterfront and business district. More than 70 Flowbird smart kiosks have been upgraded and are ready to be used by residents and visitors alike. According to Troy Mayor Patrick Madden, the upgrades were necessary to help improve parking opportunities for residents and visitors from across the Capital Regions.

FlashParking, in partnership with LAZ Parking, announces the completion of a 200-lane Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) installation at Texas Medical Center (TMC)—the world’s largest medical complex—in just 44 days. The system, operated by LAZ Parking, employs FlashParking’s industry-leading cloud-based parking and mobility solutions to control 30,000 parking spaces across 19 garages and 20 surface lots.

Propark America announced that it is opening its latest near-airport parking location, servicing Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, in Florida. With 400 spaces of premium parking, the new location, Discount Parking FLL, is expected to alleviate some of the parking challenges at, and around, the airport, which sees 36 million passengers annually. Propark America has announced the appointment of John Reimers as Chief Operating Officer. Reimers most recently served as Vice President of Towne Park, where he directed the day-to-day operations of its successful West Coast region. 


Passport announces the hiring of Greg Hammermaster as head of payments. Greg brings to Passport nearly 30 years of experience working with some of the world’s largest banks, card issuers and merchants, including First Data, Sage, SunTrust, Visa and U.S. Bank. He will work closely with Passport’s product, engineering, marketing and sales teams to develop an even more robust and competitive merchant processing offering for the company’s nearly 600 worldwide clients.

Data from 21 indicators has been analyzed in Dubai, Los Angeles, London, Buenos Aires, Taipei and Johannesburg to produce a Digital Readiness Score, considering areas such as smart electricity and transport systems, internet connections and digital governance services.

The Mall of the Netherlands is a major extension and refurbishment of the current Leidsenhage shopping centre and will be one of Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield’s flagship shopping destinations. Park Assist’s M4 Parking Guidance System will be installed into the 3 indoor Car Parks.

Steve has held past positions as President of Hectronic U.S.A. for the last 6 years, as well as senior management positions at Comcast, Motorola, ADT and Parkeon. Steve has extensive experience in business development, operations, support and service roles.


European online parking reservation leader, ParkVia, has
announced that the company has been awarded its second Queen’s Award for Enterprise in the category of International Trade under its former brand name, ParkCloud. The company won its first such award in 2014. The accolade will be formally conferred later this year by the Lord-Lieutenant at ParkVia’s head office in Manchester, in addition to the official royal reception which will be hosted by HRH The Prince of Wales in June.

Propane autogas is an engine fuel that powers over 27 million vehicles worldwide. In North America, nearly 19,000 propane vehicles are equipped with ROUSH CleanTech propane fuel systems. All of ROUSH CleanTech’s propane autogas vehicles meet and exceed National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. Propane autogas vehicle fuel tanks are 20 times more puncture-resistant than diesel tanks and can withstand four times the pressure.


 Parking Sense has been selected by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to deploy its technology at five airport locations including JFK, LaGuardiaNewark Liberty, Stewart and Teterboro, with LaGuardia being the first installation in the first quarter of 2019. “Our parking solutions have proven to be an effective, easy to install, and cost-conscious way for our partners to enhance the arrival and departure experience at their locations,” said Jake Bezzant, Parking Sense CEO.


INDECT U.SA announces their outdoor camera system is now available in the U.S.A. The outdoor detection sensor (ODE) is unique among parking guidance products as it is the only camera sensor on the market to provide License Plate Recognition on each parked vehicle in non-enclosed parking lots. “The amount of interest we have received in the outdoor sensor has been incredible,” said Dale Fowler, President of INDECT USA.


TagMaster AB has signed an agreement to acquire Sensys Networks Inc. The purchase price is USD 16 million on a debt free, cash free basis, with an adjustment of net working capital as of the closing date against a normalized net working capital. Sensys Networks, established 2003, is a leading provider of advanced data solutions for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS)

The West New York Parking Authority (WNYPA) announced that the agency will be replacing the town’s traditional, coin-operated parking meters with smart parking meters this Spring. Along with these new meters, residents will also be able to pay for parking town-wide with mobile devices via the Parkmobile app. “Providing our customers with more payment options is our primary goal,” said Amiris Perez, WNYPA Executive Director. 


Solano County Transit (SolTrans) riders in Vallejo, Calif. can now pay for parking with a mobile phone using Passport Parking. Customers parking at the Curtola Park and Ride have the option to pay for short-term parking with the Passport Parking app or to sign up for a monthly parking permit online, also powered by Passport. The Passport Parking app is free to download on iOS or Android.
