Conduent Incorporated is launching five enterprise platforms to further its ability to provide individualized, immediate and intelligent experiences to its customers. Conduent will integrate Microsoft Language Understanding Intelligent Service (LUIS), Azure Blockchain Workbench, Azure Cognitive Services and Azure Machine Learning service (AzureML) throughout its client portfolio, delivering them on Azure. The company also announces that Chicago will now have access to a system, developed by Conduent Transportation, a business unit of Conduent Incorporated, that uses advanced analytics designed specifically for parking enforcement officers working in the field. Under a new contract with Conduent, the city will use CitySight®, a suite of digital applications that will help optimize parking enforcement efficiency and effectiveness. 


PNI Sensor announced that its high-accuracy PlacePod® smart parking sensor is available in India on the LoRaWAN™ 865-867 MHz frequency band. PlacePod is an in-ground or surface-mounted vehicle detection sensor that communicates with a LoRa gateway to provide real-time parking data. It provides accurate vehicle detection in parking spaces, long battery life, and is stable over temperature fluctuations, even in harsh environments. 


Parkway and FlashParking announce the parking industry’s first enterprise-wide partnership through which FlashParking has become the exclusive parking technology provider for Parkway Corporation’s owned garage portfolio. By standardizing on FlashParking’s enterprise platform, Parkway will improve customer experience through consistent operations and analytics across their portfolio. 


ParkMobile announced a partnership with the City of Amarillo that will enable people to skip the meter and pay for parking from their mobile device. The ParkMobile app is now available at 900 spaces in downtown Amarillo. Signage is now posted around the city’s paid parking areas with information on how to pay for parking using the app.


The City of Panamá has awarded a parking management contract to Consortium Panamá Parking to manage and regulate their on-street parking for the next 15 years. The Consortium Panamá Parking will be responsible to implement a global parking management ecosystem that includes multispace paystations, digital residential permits, a pay-by-phone app, an integrated enforcement platform with aLPR vehicles and the towing service.


INDECT USA announces the installation of their ultrasonic parking guidance system at the City of Round Rock in Texas. Following the successful installation of an INDECT parking guidance system in the Allen R Baca Center Garage last summer, Parking Guidance Systems LLC (PGS) are set to complete their second installation of INDECT equipment in the City Hall Garage by the end of May. INDECT USA also announces the successful installation of their ultrasonic parking guidance system at San Diego’s newly developed urban community, The Merge CV. INDECT USA has opened their new office in Denver, Colorado. The new Colorado office will serve as a technology and sales hub, enabling INDECT to better meet the growing demand for parking guidance across the country.

In this role, Barker is focusing on further establishing Parker Technology as an industry leader and will help catapult the company to the next level, working closely with sales and business development. Heidi comes with 6 years B2B marketing experience, formerly in the concrete construction industry. 


Vistage, an executive coaching organization, has awarded Allpro Parking CEO, Richard Serra with the 2019 Vistage Lifetime Achievement Award in the Buffalo Market. Vistage was founded 60 years ago and has grown tremendously by driving their members to outperform their competition. “I am honored to receive the Vistage Lifetime Achievement Award,” Serra said. “I have been a member for more than 10 years.

The Lancaster Parking Authority (LPA) has earned the designation of Accredited Parking Organization (APO). Shawn Conrad, CEO, of the International Parking & Mobility Institute (IPMI) presented the APO credential to Larry J. Cohen, CAPP, executive director of the LPA, at the organization’s monthly board meeting. City of Lancaster Mayor Danene Sorace read a congratulatory resolution from Lancaster City Council and give brief remarks.

SinglePoint announces the official launch of ShieldSaver. SinglePoint acquired ShieldSaver early 2018 with the intent to disrupt the $12 Billion dollar automotive glass industry. ShieldSaver is now operational in Sacramento International Airport (SMF) and Wally Park’s Denver International Airport (DIA) locations. The company has recently completed its first round of end to end transactions with the newly built interface.

Propane engines are aiming low — and for good reason. Recently, new ROUSH CleanTech technology has enabled propane engines to reach near-zero emissions, outdoing other alternative-fueled engines. Park Assist, LLC has announced the results of a five-month long data-driven study conducted in collaboration with Brisbane Airport Corporation quantifying the impact of its camera-based smart sensor parking guidance system (PGS) on the airport’s parker experience. According to Dr. Poorvi Kaushik, Park Assist’s Lead Data Scientist for the research study, it is believed to be the first of its kind in the industry, based on the methodology used and sample size. Park Assist has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for the Desert Diamond West Valley Casino located in Glendale, Arizona. Park Assist’s M4 camera-based smart-sensor Parking Guidance System installation will be part of a $400-million-dollar expansion that when completed, will have expanded into a full-scale casino and resort. The project occupies over one million square feet including a 75,000 Square Foot Gaming Floor with 5 restaurants. Park Assist has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for centre: mk in Milton Keynes, UK. Located 80 km from North-West London, centre: mk is one of the largest regional shopping centers in the UK with over 27 million annual visitors. 


Avis and Arrive just made finding parking a snap for users of the Avis app. Available now, Avis app users can find, instantly book and pre-pay for parking, saving drivers time, effort and money. “We are constantly striving to improve the customer experience, and solving one of the biggest pain points – parking – will go a great distance to helping us achieve our goal,” said Arthur Orduna, Chief Innovation Officer, Avis Budget Group. 


International engineering firm Walter P Moore announces several key changes within the firm’s Structures Group: Blair Hanuschak, P.E., Senior Principal, has been promoted to Executive Director of Structures, which spans 19 U.S. offices, five international locations, and comprises roughly 54 percent of the firm’s employees. Blair will captain an executive suite of structural leaders, which includes Senior Principals Mark Larsen, P.E., S.E. (Operations Director), Viral Patel, P.E. (Director of Design), and Mashari Nassar, P.E.(Client Director).


Creative Bus Sales and Phoenix Motorcars have formed an alliance to jointly develop, build and distribute electric zero emission buses. As part of the agreement, Phoenix Motorcars will be the supplier of electric drivetrains for all zero-emission shuttle and school buses built by Forest River on the Ford E450 chassis with the Starcraft Bus body. Creative Bus Sales will be the exclusive factory representative
or the range of products sold under
this agreement. Starcraft Bus, a division of Forest River Inc. is the largest shuttle bus builder in North America and is America’s fastest growing school bus manufacturer.

Kimley-Horn is working with Madison International Realty and their property manager, Cushman Wakefield, to develop parking access and revenue control bid specifications as well as supply construction administration services for the Atlantic Center Mall directly across from Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. Kimley-Horn also will develop bid specifications and provide bidding support for garage management at the Atlantic Center Mall and Queens Place Mall, also owned by Madison International Realty. Work on both projects will begin in early April 2019 and is expected to be complete sometime in July 2019.


Denison Parking, an Indianapolis-based parking operator with operations in nine states, is pleased to announce that it has taken over managing operations for the Catalyst Garage in Denver, Colorado. This automated parking facility marks the first Colorado location in Denison’s portfolio. The management takeover supports Denison Parking’s efforts to expand service offerings across the country. Brandon Peters, General Manager, will oversee Catalyst day-to-day operations and facility staff. 


Entry Guard Systems, in conjunction with TIBA Parking Systems, has expanded the revenue stream, as well as enhanced the visitor and general public parking experience at the American Civil War Museum located at Historic Tredegar in Richmond, Virginia. “This significant improvement of the parking experience has allowed the museum staff to control the ratio of visitors, while also serving tourists and riverfront visitors,” says Frank Kollmansperger, President of Entry Guard Systems.
