Effective immediately, ITR of Georgia will represent the Designa PARCS line of products along with their line of slide and swing gates, access control, efficient lighting, and on-street meters. All project, warranty, service, and support formerly done by ITR will move to the new Amano McGann Branch in Georgia. 


Dixon Resources Unlimited is pleased to welcome Kevin Holliday as a Senior Associate. Kevin is an experienced urban planner with public and private experience who brings firsthand knowledge and program management skills to the DIXON team. Throughout his career, Kevin has forged productive working relationships with fellow planners, meter shop technicians, department heads, and external government officials. 


Park Cedar Rapids and Passport announce the launch of Passport Parking, a mobile app that allows users to pay for parking from their smartphones. A day at the beach just got better with the launch of Passport Parking in the City of Long Beach. The City of Charlotte and Charlotte Douglas International Airport have partnered with Passport to launch its enforcement solution to streamline the parking management process. Passport’s platform will help enforcement agents to be more efficient and accurate with access to real-time data. 


The Women in Parking Association announces new members of its 2019 Leadership Board. First-term members, making up the 2019-2020 WIP Board are: Britney Cooper – Walter P Moore; Christina Murray – Premier Parking; Jennifer Rentz – Dixon Resources Unlimited; and Tricia Rukstalis – Southland Printing Company, Inc. The board is led by Chairperson Marcy Sparrow, Parking Today. Additional WIP board officers are Executive Director Ruth Beaman, Integrapark; Associate Director and Past Chairperson Laura Longsworth, Brookfield Properties; and Treasurer Karen Blasing Pradhan, Skidata.


American Airlines has chosen INDECT as the preferred parking guidance system for their new employee training facility in Fort Worth, Texas. The 1.8 million square-foot training center will have five training buildings, seven parking garages and enough space to accommodate 11,000 employees. Locally-based parking guidance experts, Parking Guidance Systems (PGS), have been awarded the installation contract for the four main garages with the remaining smaller garages to be completed at a later date.


ParkMobile announced the launch of the new ParkColumbus app. The ParkColumbus app is an important component of the Short North Parking Plan as an option for paying at parking meters and mobile payment-only parking zones. To pay for parking using the ParkColumbus app, simply enter the zone number posted on the sticker, choose the duration and touch the “start parking” button. ParkMobile has also partnered with North Carolina State University to enable people to pay for parking on their mobile devices. 


Building on the recent announcement that ParkCloud now holds on-site parking partnerships with Italy’s top five airports, the European online parking reservation leader has further expanded its growth within the Italian airport network with the addition of Italy’s ninth largest airport – Palermo. The newly agreed contract will enable ParkCloud to offer its 3 million registered users the option of reserving their parking at two of Palermo Airport’s on-site parking facilities.

Park Assist has been awarded the Parking Guidance System (PGS) contract for Savannah/ Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) in Savannah, Georgia. SAV serves both the public and military sectors in the surrounding Savannah and Hilton Head regions. Park Assist has also been chosen as the Parking Guidance System contract for Beverly Center in Los Angeles. Park Assist’s patented M4 camera-based system was chosen for Beverly Center following a successful installation at Taubman’s Cherry Creek Shopping Center in Denver.

Parking Australia has appointed Stuart Norman as its new Chief Executive Officer. Stuart replaces Interim CEO, Lorraine Duffy, who has been acting in the role of CEO for the past three months. Stuart brings 20 years’ experience spanning a variety of industry sectors, including not-for-profit, commercial and government entities. Stuart has a track record in building and transforming operating models for member-based organizations across Australia, and developing sustainable futures through robust control and governance.


T2 Systems introduced T2 Loganä, its next generation of PARCS hardware. It is designed specifically for all gated parking solutions in vertical markets such as universities, municipalities, healthcare, property management, and airports. T2 Loganä is the latest product release from the company, who offers a unified, robust platform to manage every aspect of a parking operation.


The Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation (IndyGo) has contracted with Flowbird Group, a global supplier of intelligent transport solutions, to develop an account-based ticketing solution that will allow passengers to move across IndyGo services in Indianapolis, including local fixed route transit service, bus rapid transit service and paratransit service. 


netPark and Hamilton successfully installed complete PARCS systems for Diamond Airport Parking at the Salt Lake City International Airport. Diamond is using the netPark revenue control system, website reservation module, customer website module, loyalty customer app and the Hamilton line of ticket machines and pay stations all powered by netPark.


Markus Plankensteiner joins Designa as SVP, Business Development. He will be based in Kiel supporting the DESIGNA USA team in Chicago. He has previously held several management positions in the area of Internet of Things (IoT) and international sales with a focus on U.S. customers at TTTech Computertechnik AG, one of Austria’s leading high-tech companies. 


The City of Rock Hill has awarded the contract for the City’s Parking Access and Revenue Control Systems (PARCS) to Amano McGann. One of the drivers for Rock Hill’s economic development is their amateur sporting events industry and the city’s reputation as a hub for events like basketball, volleyball, baseball, BMX bike racing, and a plethora of others. 


National design firm WGI is pleased to announce it acquired Texas-based BIG RED DOG, INC. (BRD), a firm with a reputation in the industry for intelligent disruption, and a leading provider of civil, MEP, structural, traffic, and transportation engineering for public and private clients. The fastest-growing Florida-headquartered firm and the fastest-growing firm in Texas will now operate as a single entity. 


The City of St. Marys, Pennsylvania launched the MeterFeeder parking app to provide a new method of parking payment for its citizens. People who download the app will be able to pay for parking from their phone, extend their parking reservation from their phone, pay tickets online or in the app, and get digital receipts of their parking transactions. MeterFeeder will operate on top of the existing parking infrastructure in the city, which includes over 300 traditional coin-operated meters. 


Denison Parking, an Indianapolis-based parking operator, has acquired the assets of SOPHI Global, LLC, a boutique valet parking company. These assets will become a part of newly formed Denison Parking subsidiary, Denison Mobility, LLC. The move supports Denison Parking’s efforts to expand valet, as well as other transportation and concierge service offerings. SOPHI Global co-founders, Joshua Casey and Troy Wilkinson, have joined Denison Mobility to oversee the newly created business line.


Flowbird Group has partnered with the City of Savannah to replace their existing Pre-Paid Smart Card parking system with new cloud-based validation software. The “Validation ePurse” system allows drivers in Savannah to purchase an individual validation code from the city’s department of Mobility and Parking Services at a discounted rate. The code can then be used in the future to pay for parking at the City’s Flowbird Strada Pay Stations. 


Allpro Parking is pleased to announce that the company has successfully taken over the full operation of the 108-space parking lot located at 554 Pearl Street, near Tupper Street between Pearl Street and Franklin Street in downtown Buffalo, NY. This lot is steps away from where the new A-Loft Hotel will be located and is also conveniently located near the Theatre District and restaurants. Daily parking options will soon be available, with an easy-to-use meter pay-station being installed within the month.


netPark’s Reservation and PARCS System now providing 36 lanes of frictionless parking to Milwaukee International Airport travelers. MKE travelers can now book prepaid parking reservations and easily scan their smart phone for entry and exit from any of MKE’s many parking lots. netPark partners with Interflight Parking Company, which manages the parking operations for the airport. The in-lane hardware for customer scanning is provided by Q-SAC, Inc.
