Meet the Class of 2017, NPA 40 under 40
The parking industry is changing at a rapid pace. Tech changes, trend changes and new parking pros. The parking industry has traditionally attracted parking pros who “grow up in the industry”
Today’s parking pros come to the parking industry from many fields and specialties. Parking is becoming a hospitality and line operations management ladder. In a competitive economy, people who can think fast, build teams and coordinate technology win the day.
In three short years, the National Parking Association (NPA) has welcomed a new generation of parking pros. This year, marks the 3rd anniversary of the NPA 40Under40 awards. To date, 120 parking professionals have been honored as emerging leaders.
These leaders are active in their careers and in bettering the industry. This year, the 40Under40 honorees have mobilized to form the Young Leaders Network—a powerhouse group led by Andrew LaMothe and Tiffany Yu of NuPark. Tiffany was the NPA Volunteer of the Year in 2016. She started her career in parking & was recruited to NuPark as an industry rising star.
The NPA Young Leaders Network brings the Gen X, Gen Y and Millennial perspective to the parking industry. The network is active in bringing the voice of the parker, tech tips and social media insights into their companies and the parking industry.
Parking tech changes may have moved fast in the past. But, fast forward to 2017 and you see technology, automation and social/mobile everywhere.
