Dallas-based ParkHub.com’s Prime parking system, launched in January 2015 and already used in more than a half-dozen venues worldwide, proved a big winner, along with the Denver Broncos, in Super Bowl 2016 at Levi’s Stadium Feb. 7 in Santa Clara, CA. 

The innovative platform was used to speed up parking at the big game, and with 75,000 people in attendance, it did just that. At peak time, one vehicle was processed every two seconds. The Prime mobile POS platform validates pre-purchased or reserved parking, records cash transactions, and facilitates credit card transactions, the company said. 

“We were so excited to help Levi’s Stadium during this year’s Super Bowl”, said George Baker, Founder and President. “Our system is able to allow for pre-registration, but also super-fast processing when entering a lot, even if you are paying on the spot in real-time.” 

The system was developed by Dallas-based Dialexa, a product innovation company. All parking information is reported in real-time via an LTE network to a cloud-based platform that operators can view from a laptop or a smartphone.

“We built Parkhub’s platform on the same technology stack as Walmart, so that it could scale to millions of transactions a second, and we were excited to see how it performed,” said Scott Harper, CEO and Founder of Dialexa. 

Verifone’s handheld, EMV- and NFC-enabled, mobile point-of-sale device – the Verifone e315 – integrated with Prime and was used by the event’s parking lot attendants to accept payments and validate barcodes on pre-purchased parking vouchers.
