Crane Payment Innovations (CPI) has partnered with Klever Logic, an industry-leading parking technology provider, to add a cash payment option to the company’s PARCS solution, FlashPARCS. Through this partnership, CPI’s BNR bank note recycler is being added to FlashPARCS’s Smart Station kiosks. BNR, a modular cash-recycling solution, permits parking owners to conveniently, quickly, and securely accept and dispense cash during payments from parking patrons.

 

IntegraPark has partnered with VenTek, a manufacturer of unattended parking revenue control systems, in integrating its Rome application with VenTek’s system. This enables permit parking owners and operators to automatically transfer revenues from multiple locations to the general ledger and financial statements, eliminating time-consuming manual key entry and user errors. Automating data entry can reduce their accounting staff time by up to 75%, the company said.

 

Indect USA, the leading provider of sensor-based parking guidance systems, has completed an ultrasonic parking guidance installation at the Dallas Omni Hotel and Convention Center. It is the first and only hotel in the U.S. to offer their guests parking guidance, the company said. Installed as part of the $400 million Dallas Convention Center redevelopment, the new system will directly benefit convention center visitors, as well as hotel guests.

The New York City DOT and Parkmobile LLC, the leading provider for on-demand and prepaid mobile payments for on- and off-street parking, have contracted to implement a program letting motorists pay for parking using their mobile phones at all 85,000 on-street metered spaces throughout the city. By providing drivers with an easier and more convenient way to find, pay for and extend parking, the city said it’s seeking to significantly reduce the hassle of parking and improve the overall travel experience.

SP Plus Corp., the nation’s leading provider of airport parking, ground transportation and ancillary services, has announced that its SP+ Transportation Operating Group has been awarded a multi-year contract to provide comprehensive shuttle bus service for the Express North and Express South public parking facilities at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. The operation will utilize a fleet of 42 buses to provide prompt bumper-to-bumper shuttle service between the terminals and more than 8,200 public spaces in the parking lots.

 

Ace Parking has been selected as the parking management partner at the Collier Center and CityScape commercial facilities in downtown Phoenix, as well as at the iconic Phoenician Resort in suburban Scottsdale. Collier Center is a Class A mixed-use building with almost 600,000 square feet of space housing offices, retail and restaurants. CityScape is a four-building “urban community” covering 1.2 million square feet and featuring office space, a hotel, residential apartments, retail and restaurants, and entertainment. Both facilities, in the heart of downtown Phoenix, are managed by Red Development.

 

ParkWhiz, the nation’s largest on-demand parking app, has acquired its New York-based competitor BestParking. It noted that the combined reach of both companies drove more than $50 million in revenue to parking operators in 2015. The Chicago-based company added that its platform now has more than 800,000 spaces in 4,000 locations across 50 major U.S. cities. That announcement accompanied news that it also had raised $24 million in Series C funding. Led by Baird Capital, with Beringea and Jump Capital participating, that brought its total funding to date to $36 million. In other news, at PIE 2016 in Las Vegas, the company named industry veteran Todd Tucker as its Vice President of Sales. “Todd shares our focus on being a great partner for operators,” said Co-Founder and CEO Aashish Dalal. “His command of the industry and experience building relationships make him the perfect addition for our team.”
