Rydin Decal, a parking management solutions provider, announces a partnership with Ellucian, a technology solutions provider to educational institutions. The partnership enables the integration of Rydin’s web-based parking management software, Rydin PermitExpress™, with the Banner® Student Information System by Ellucian. Rydin PermitExpress™ Parking Management Software allows educational institutions to centralize important parking information and manage numerous parking functions (parking permit sales, permit distribution, citations, appeals, driver and vehicle information) online. The robust solution is cloud-based, so it is accessible anywhere there is an internet connection.

Parkmobile U.S.A., Inc. and Miami Beach Parking announced a program that will allow customers to use their mobile phones to pay for parking at all of the over 8,300+ metered spaces throughout Miami Beach. Customers can pay for parking with their cell phone using Parkmobile’s mobile applications for the iPhone, Android, Windows 7, and Blackberry smartphones.

The Consulting Engineers Group, Inc. (CEG)®is pleased to announce our selection to be part of the consulting pool for the Public Works Department of the City of Minneapolis, Minnesota. This honor, in effect for the next 3 years, allows us to serve the Traffic and Parking Services Division of the Public Works Department on an on-call basis for any and all parking management and parking operations issues, concerns and challenges. The Minnesota office of CEG will provide primary support of this new contract, with back-up support available from other CEG offices as needed. The relationship between the City and CEG has been in effect since 2004. CEG has additional offices in Illinois, Texas, Florida, and New Mexico.

ABB, the leading power and automation technology group announced that their Terra 23/53 range of fast chargers has successfully passed the new European certification process for DC fast chargers at Applus IDIADA, the independent certification house in Spain. Walker Parking Consultantshas been awarded a contract by Aramco Overseas Co. to prepare a parking master plan and conceptual design for a major parking facility for the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia.  The facility will provide public parking for the Center’s educational, performance and research venues.  Walker’s Boston and Abu Dhabi offices will collaborate and manage the project team, which includes Cambridge Seven Associates as design architect (Cambridge, MA) and Transpo Group as traffic engineer (Seattle, WA & Abu Dhabi, UAE).

Digital Payment Technologies (DPT), a leading provider of multi-space pay stations and enterprise software parking solutions, announced phase II of its deployment with the City of Miami Beach, FL. Phase II includes further expansion of DPT’s LUKE II multi-space parking pay stations throughout the city and changing the mode of operation to Pay-by-License Plate as part of the License Plate-Enabled Parking (LEP) solution that the city is launching today. “Our goal in implementing License Plate-Enabled Parking is to provide visitors and residents with an easy solution that uses one unique parking identifier across the board – the license plate,” said Saul Frances, director, City of Miami Beach Parking Department. “With DPT’s LUKE II pay stations at the center of this system, consumers will appreciate an intuitive and convenient way to park that will also make operations more efficient, thanks to the pay stations’ integration with enforcement technologies from Genetec and OmniPark.” With DPT’s integration with Parkmobile, consumers also have the option of paying using their mobile phone.
