Thanks to an agreement between Amano and Parkmobile you can now use your pay by phone app here, there and now everywhere! Amano, the global leader in parking automation and Parkmobile, the leading provider of mobile payment solutions have joined forces to provide the first common on / off-street platform for pay by phone apps.

To use Parkmobile’s service, drivers register for free by setting up an account at www.parkmobile.com, where they can also download one of the mobile apps which generate a unique QR code. 

The Parkmobile member presents the smartphone with unique QR code to the FlexScan reader at the Amano entry devices. The scanner reads the image and transmits information to the Parkmobile cloud-based server. The transaction is approved in seconds and the gate opens.

At exit the QR code is scanned, the variable rate is calculated based on the business rules of the facility, the Parkmobile cloud approves the fee and the gate opens. It’s that simple. This experience is very similar to scanning your boarding pass at the airport or using credit card in / out at the parking facility.
